JETS + COWBOYS = <3
yayyayyayy.
So it has been hardcore football season since winter break started and it continues to be so as the days go on. Being from New York, I had to root for those Jets because of remembering all of their times of failure. I am very proud of their achievements today and especially happy for my brother; the biggest Jet fan I know. It was also a football day for the Cowboys. And yes, most people would wonder why I would even care about the Cowboys.. but having a boyfriend who was born in Dallas, Texas basically converts me into a Cowboys fan. Despite the Cowboys game not being the most interesting for me, I was still very happy they won. Yay for being a part of the BC Marching Band making me actually 100% understand and enjoy watching football. Woo.
Besides the fact that football is a primary part of my life right now (strangely), the concern of finding a job for the upcoming semester is an important concern for me. So much for there really being job opportunities on campus. I tend to disagree as a freshman who really really doesn't want to work in the dining hall but might have to. I sent in my resume to an office job but who know's if they'll ever get back to me. But yeah, I really need money. I spent way too much on cab fare to Harvard, our Brita water filter, a pair of jeans & cardigan, a new mattress pad, Sims 3, a labtop case, a scarf, getting my ears pierced, random meals and other things. It's interesting that I remember pretty much all of the important things I spent money on but unfortunately that money is still gone. I am being heckled to find a job and will continue to be in a tough situation if I do not find one. Even though I really just want to do my own thing and nap and eat soup in my room all day... I really need to somehow get a job and be flexible about it.. hopefully.
Till next time,
<3 Katie

Beginning Post
Hello! So after having a tumblr for over a year and finally being inspired to write about my life because the excessive time I have during winter break and the weird sleep schedule my body clock is on, I finally decided to make a blog. Yay. So, I already had a blog but it was in Spanish for last year's AP Spanish class.. so that was not the same thing, at all. I honestly don't know how this is going to go since I'm not that creative or interesting of a person. But what the hell? Why not.
So I created a list on my tumblr that I'll post here.. It's a list of goals for my second semester at Boston College. Hopefully, it'll keep me motivated throughout the rest of the year.
List;
+actually read the assigned readings.
+work harder on essays and other assignments. putting in that extra kick of effort actually shows a big difference in the grade received (as learned at the end of the semester in philosophy).
+go to the gym (aka kwanza hut) with friends as often as possible. i did a really good job with this during mid-december until finals week messed up everyone's schedules. i must get back into my routine of working out. i really enjoyed it.
+play my flute more often, for myself more than for anything else.
+enjoy time with my friends but also meet new people
+learn how to play trumpet for next year's season.
+continue to balance all the aspects of my life with proper judgment & responsibility.
+communicate with my family at home more often.
+go on facebook less, play less games to do more productive things with my time. i understand this might be a slight unrealistic goal but it is important to put here as a reminder that i could do better things with my life than constantly be on facebook.
+continue eating healthy; eat less cookies and soup and attempt variety.
+start reflecting on my life as well as looking forward at the things to come.
+don't dwell on the past OR the future too much that it obsesses with worries or sadness.
+ENJOY and LOVE second semester.
That's it for now.
Love always,
Katie
